Het zou nog bijna saai worden ;0)

It is almost becoming boring :0)

De speelgoedwinkel is ook af! Die ging lekker snel :0)

The toyshop is finished too! That was a quicky :0)

At the bottom is the template for the sliding part of the sled, which I will appliqué when all the blocks are sewn together!

For some unknown reason my camera would't focus so the pictures are a bit blurry :(
The little wood parts for the sled were ever so tiny! But they got in quit nicely :0)

And, last but not least, a picture of my last tiny, tiny logcabins! These are again completely different from the previous ones, so I haven't got one identical to another :0)

This picture is focused, silly camera! Ah well, all for the better LOL!

Het Postkantoor

The post office

Block 8 is a fact!
This one has taken me longer to make for more then one reason ;0) It has been autumn break here, the past week and well...you don't get much sewing done then! And with all those little blocks and pieces I had to keep my head together, so finally, on this quiet sunday I finished it :0)

The little embellishments have to be put on still, the birdhouse will be getting an opening and a stick for birds to sit on and all of the names have to be put on the houses, but, they are getting to be so lovely!
No wild snow this time haha!

The only flaw I found so far in this pattern, is the tall tree on the side....it is too tall (well, better too tall than too short!) Because this block is build up from three blocks I had cut out the paper patterns and puzzled them together, so I did spot it way early!
The upper piece sticks out, but that's simple to adjust...pfieuw!

Block 9, the toy shop, is already lying in place for cutting and fabric picking! That one is going to be a very nice block to make, yeay :0)

Men neme...

You need...

Lapjes, een gezellige charmpack bijvoorbeeld :0)
Ik heb de serie Christmas Countdown gebruikt!

Fabric, a nice yummy charmpack, for instance :0)
I used the Christmas Countdown pack!

It's a cute series with nice and no glitters and stuff. I've had it for a while now, but was unsure what to use it for when all of a sudden inspiration came to me :0)
Ages ago I had read about it at her blog: http://atelierbep.blogspot.nl/search/label/herfst%20%2F%20kerstkrans.
First I'd sewn all 42 pieces into pockets with a turning opening...

Lekker makkelijk :0)

Which then had to be stuffed, nice and firm. I didn't have to close them because they are strung tightly in the middle with a piece of cord! How easy is that :0)

And after that it's all about knotting them onto a wreath. The first three times didn't go all that well with me, because I had used ribbon and that just kept on sliding off. I couldn't get it to stay nice and tight. So, off to the shed and I pulled out the rough cord which I use in the garden!
Well, with that it went like Santa's train ;0)

And there it is: my own wreath with stuffed pockets, ready for Christmas!
A nice quick and easy inbetween project...and I already have an order placed for another one, a bit smaller!
My boy wants one of his one :0)

The patchwork shop :0)

It is so very addictive, building these sweet houses in Santa's Village :0)
Block 7 is finished too!
This one was relatively easy, especially in comparison with the previous one...and the next one...oops *O-O*
Because it is such an easy block (ahem...) just one picture this time:

There will be a sweet little real quilt hanging from the tree to the house later :0)
And lots of buttons will go on as well...but they will have to be purchased first.
Luckily, I'm going to a crafts fair with my younger sister on the 1st of November! And there will undoubtfully be lots of yummy, let-me-have-them-all buttons...along with everything else ;-)

Happy quilting :0)

Candy, candy, candy :0)

Yessss, block 6, the candy store is also finished!
Wow, there were a lot of little blocks with a whole lot of pieces...very much fun to do, but, little mistakes are closer by, waiting to creep in  and hang around innocently...

It took me quit a while to locate the mistake. I sat there watching and staring, just knowing something was of...but what?? LOL, it's the strange pile of snow over there ;0)
That one had crept in very sneaky haha!

Even in het geheel:

One of the whole:

En een klein, passend detail:

And one little, fitting detail:

Jammie :0)

Well, that's makes it all clear of the purpose of this house! Yummie :0)

School gaat in!

School's in!

It's going great!
The fifth block has been as good as completed :0) I only have to make another row of tiny log cabins, but that's for tomorrow.
Most of the work is the preparation:
cutting the little templates, picking the fabrics, pinning templates on fabric and cutting it out. It is such fun to do! Handling all the little fabrics, thinking how it is going to look the cutest :0)
The sewing part is very fast. If all is prepared well, then you can just go ahead and sew, sew, sew!
So, without further ado: BLOCK 5, the School :0)

Met schoolbel!

With schoolbell!

A question was posted at one of my previous posts: what's the name of the pattern, from who it was and how big it is going to be.
I'm used to calling it Scheve Huisjes (houses that are nowhere straight) and it's kind of a very old BOM from Sulky http://www.sulky-international.de/scripts/clsAIWeb.php?seite_id=173
I bought it at my local patchworkstore De Ganzerik.
How big it will be I dont know yet...it is all depending on if you use sashings, how many borders etcetera...once I know I will tell :0)

Het kerkje was een kleine bezoeking...

The little church was a bit of a struggle...

The church is finished :0)
A very big WHOOPIE from me!
Because it really was a bit of a struggle, to say the least...so many small, very small pieces brrr :0(
I had to peel off and put back on a lot...and off again...and finally cut bigger pieces of fabric...
The windowposts were so tiny and...well...I am a bit cheap with my fabrics ;0) I hate throwing away and then I sometimes end up with a piece that is just a little bit too small.
It was a Learning Moment for blocks to come: cut BIG pieces!

But...

It is finished :0)

The Blueprint was hanging right in front of my nose on the pinboard...

All my parts cut out and pinned together on small piles. Carefull not to get it mixed up (so Cat had to keep clear, or better: I had it covered with a paper over it..)

Zo klein dus!

This tiny!

Maar oh zo leuk geworden!!!

But oh so sweet it is!!

Happy quilting!!
